John E. Ranes II, CPF, GCF -- John is a well known instructor of workshops and seminars throughout North America.  He has also taught framing programs in Europe, South America and Australia/New Zealand.  He teaches for the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA - USA) as well as conducting programs for industry suppliers.  John has served as a PPFA Chapter officer on two Midwest chapters as well as a director on the National PPFA Board.

John has been a consultant to The Fletcher-Terry Company for over twenty-four years and also consults for TruVue, Inc.  He and his wife, Sarah own a successful frame shop and gallery in Appleton, Wisconsin.  The Frame Workshop of Appleton, Inc. has won over ninety framing awards including two successive TPS Awards from The Fine Art Trade Guild of the UK and an Australian Framing Competition.  John offers a wealth of new and creative ideas learned from being in constant touch with framers around the world.

John and Sarah expanded their 32 year old retail business in 2009 moving it to a new 6,120 sq/ft free standing building to gain even more exposure to their custom framing as well as accentuate their diversification into gifts, home d馗or and collectibles.
